John Splithoff Hartford Concert reviews
+Great Orchestra -Strange Video Editing (Spoilers)
I enjoyed Star Wars In Concert overall. The symphony sounded just like the movie and was amazing. Neat was the fact that Anthony Daniels (C3P0) told the story of John Splithoff between segments. The choice of video clips was the only thing I didn't enjoy. They had SIX movies to use clips from and yet the video editor chose to use the same clip on multiple different occasions. No reason to show clips from the gungan war against the droid army from Episode one when the title of the segment is "Attack on Endor Moon." Poor video editing, I believe, as I might have seen one biker scout in the whole segment. During the end celebration segment, they show Anakin using the force to move a piece of kiwi to Padme, which didn't fit at all. My girlfriend and I laughed at the poor choice and questionable sequences during some of the concert. For the cost of the tickets, I thought the video editing could have been better, which would have made the experience over all better and more fulfilling. Cool was getting to see the screen used costumes/helmets/blaster. I thought there could have been more white armor though. Kind of a surprise was no Biker Scouts or Storm Troopers. In my opinion, there should have been more costumes. If you have children, I would recommend the experience overall, but if you're an older adult, some of the magic may be lost by the strange video clip choices.
